GREETINGS FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION

This association was created in 1997, the first of rural tourist businesses in Avila, our main objective was to offer the visitor information on the business available to the tourist in the Valle del Tiétar, which is why our Association includes rural accommodation, business that organise activities and culture, and restaurants.

The Valle del Tiétar is on the southern side of the Gredos mountains, an area still unknown to many, which keeps the charming flavour of our villages and people, and yet offers maximum quality to the visitor.

All the businesses offering accommodation , business offering active holidays, and restaurants put great effort into their customer care, all of them are legally registered, which is why professional attention and care is the most important quality found in our association.

The special microclimate, with gentle winters and cool summers make the Valle del Tiétar an ideal destination all year round. Whether in winter or in summer, that which is offered by the members of our Association can be enjoyed: comfortable and welcoming accommodation, good food with excellent local produce, and enjoyable and exciting activities.

The abundance of water is another outstanding feature of this area, numerous streams flow down from the mountains, and it is a pleasure to see them tumble down from the Gredos mountains all year round, forming rock pools which in summer are enjoyed by all ages.

Streams, pools and springs result in our area being lush and green, comparable only to the North of Spain.
