Wonderful views of the Gredos
We are in a privileged area of the Southern Gredos Mountains, just at the foot of the Almanzor peak. Thanks to the microclimate, you will find both pine and oak forests, palm trees and orange trees, and will enjoy the wonderful views of the Gredos mountains and the Valle del Tiétar, and in Summer cool off in the numerous rivers that flow down from the mountains forming natural pools, although we also have a swimming pool at the house.
Chozos de Tejea has six double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, each one in its own style. Spacious common rooms, dining room with fireplace, a living room with library, board games, television and DVD, the solarium, the big garden to wander in, terrace and swimming pool. Air conditioning and heating.
Quite close by there are natural pools - ( Garganta de Alardos), and various interesting monuments such as the Celtic ruins in El Raso (IVC ac) and the Sanctuary in Chilla, Candeleda. Another option is to visit the Bees Museum in Poyales del Hoyo, and the Castle of the ‘Triste Condesa’ (sad countess) in Arenas de San Pedro, then continue up the mountain to the Puerto del Pico where you get a good view of the ruins of the Roman road. From the house you could choose to follow the road along the Vera in Extremadura, and visit the Yuste Monastery.
A wide range of activities are on offer (horse riding, hiking, canoe trips, buggies, golf, etc.). We are at your disposal to provide you with all the information you may want. |
